The fastest way to reach us: email help@newsish.io. Newsish is made by one independent developer, and every message is read by a person. You’ll usually hear back within a couple of days.
When writing about a problem, it helps to include your iPhone model, iOS version, and — if something looked wrong — a screenshot. Newsish has no analytics, so we genuinely can’t see what happened on your device unless you tell us.
My feed is empty or won’t refresh
Newsish fetches articles directly from your chosen news sources over the internet, so a fresh launch needs a few seconds and a network connection. If a single source seems quiet, that outlet’s feed may be temporarily down — the rest of your feed is unaffected. If nothing loads at all, check your connection, then force-quit and reopen the app.
An article was hidden and I want it back
Everything Newsish hides is reversible. Hidden articles wait in one place — open Hidden Articles from settings, and each entry shows which of your filters hid it. A swipe brings any article back, and restoring one tells Newsish not to hide it again.
A topic I snoozed came back
That’s by design — Enough About That is a snooze, not a ban. The topic returns on its own when the snooze window ends. If you find yourself snoozing the same topic repeatedly, Newsish will offer to make the exclusion permanent, which moves it to your regular filters where you can edit or remove it anytime.
Why don’t I see the Summarize option?
On-device article summaries use Apple Intelligence, which requires a compatible iPhone. On other devices the option simply doesn’t appear — everything else in Newsish works the same.
Where is my account or sync?
There isn’t one, on purpose. Newsish has no accounts and no server — your filters, saved articles, and preferences live only on your device. That’s why there’s nothing to sign into and nothing to sync; it’s also why nothing about your reading can leak. Deleting the app deletes your data completely.
How do I report a bug or suggest a feature
Email help@newsish.io. Bug reports with a screenshot get acted on quickly. Feature ideas are welcome too — they go on a considered post-launch list rather than straight into the app, because Newsish adds features deliberately or not at all.
